Optimism in the Spring is the second in a series that I did for my senior exhibit at Oklahoma State University in 2010.  It is a portrait of my parents, Homer & Maxine wedding photograph.   My dad was in the Army Air Corp.  They got married in the spring and had the optimism of starting their life together after the war.  It is in the “Forgotten Memories” series.   It is about 16″ x 24″ and appliqued onto a pieced background.
